19. First day in Malhotra house

Natasha's POV

As I woke up to the soft rays of the morning sun gently illuminating the room, I slowly opened my eyes, only to find myself nestled in Siddharth's comforting embrace. A sense of warmth and contentment washed over me as I savored the tender moment, feeling grateful for the love and protection he offered me.

As I tried to slowly extricate myself from Siddharth's arms without disturbing his peaceful slumber, to my surprise, he suddenly pulled me back towards him. Before I could react, I found myself landing on top of him, our bodies pressed close together.

"Kaha Jaa rhi h aap?meri Ardhanagini" he said, a playful grin adorning his face.

"Where are you going?My wife"

My cheeks flushed with color at the endearment, stunned by the sudden movement and his playful tone. Unable to find the right words, I simply gazed at him, feeling a rush of emotions swirling within me.

"I-I have to go," I stammered, attempting to get up, but he held me closer by my waist.

"Go where? That too at 6 in the morning?" he replied, his playful nature still evident in his tone. His warmth and closeness made it difficult for me to leave, but I felt a sense of duty pulling me away.

"It's my first day here, so I have to wake up early, right?" I asked, feeling a bit uncertain.

"No, who said that? You are married to me to be my queen, not to be the maid here, my dear," he reassured me with a playful grin, emphasizing that my happiness and well-being were his priority.

Hearing his words, I was left completely shocked, unable to form a coherent response. As I remained speechless, he gently brushed the strands of hair behind my ear, his touch comforting and reassuring amidst my surprise.

"Sleep now, you can wake whenever you want," he said, pulling me closer and wrapping his arms around me.

"Are you sure?" I asked, feeling touched by his gesture.

He nodded with a smile, continuing to stroke my hair gently, "Of course, my dear. Rest as long as you need."

Feeling comforted by his words and his comforting embrace, I allowed myself to relax and drift back into a peaceful slumber.

Time skip to 9 AM.

As I woke up to the sound of the shower running, I glanced at the clock and realized it was already 9 o'clock. Quickly sitting up, I prepared to get out of bed when Siddharth emerged from the bathroom, clad only in his pants, his shirtless torso glistening with droplets of water. His toned and muscular physique caught my attention, and I couldn't help but admire his appearance as he dried his wet hair with a towel, a smile gracing his lips as he noticed me.

"Good morning, my dear," he greeted with a smile as he walked towards me.

"Good morning," I replied, returning his smile.

However, my attention was immediately drawn to something on the left side of his chest. I noticed my name intricately crafted in henna, and my eyes remained glued to that spot, a mixture of surprise and warmth washing over me.

He chuckled, seemingly noticing my gaze fixated on my name. Sitting beside me with a charming smile, he teased,

"You want to touch it?" His smirk causing my cheeks to flush once again.

I don't understand why the hell he is so flirty

"Uhhh, n-no," I replied, feeling flustered as I looked away, which only made him laugh.

"Why, why? Are you surprised that your name is written on my chest, eh?" he teased further, enjoying my reaction.

"I'm going, it's already very late," I said, attempting to leave the bed.

"It's late? What do you mean? I thought it's still very early," he remarked, causing me to stop and look at him in disbelief.

"It's literally 9 AM," I pointed out.

"Yes, I know it's still early," he replied casually, surprising me once again.

"Maybe early for you, but hella late for me. I've always heard that women should wake up early in their in-laws' house," I explained, feeling a bit flustered.

"And why do you think that we'll treat you the same way?" he said with a grin, leaving me momentarily speechless.

He stood up and walked towards me, wrapping his arms around my waist, causing my cheeks to flush even more with embarrassment.

"What are you doing? Leave me," I said, my cheeks flushing with embarrassment, which only seemed to amuse him further as he smirked.

"And why should I?" he replied in a teasing tone, enjoying my reaction.

"Cause I have to bathe," I said, looking away, feeling flustered.

"Without me?" he teased with a playful smile, causing my blush to deepen even more.

He leaned in further, his voice a soft whisper. "Answer me, sweetheart," he said with a smirk, his proximity making me blush even more.

Gently pushing him away, I smiled shyly and quickly made my escape into the bathroom, the playful banter leaving me feeling both flustered and amused.

As I retreated into the bathroom, I could hear his laughter echoing in the room, adding to my embarrassment. Despite feeling flustered, I couldn't help but smile at the playful exchange between us.

Soon:

As I emerged from the bathroom, clad in a bathrobe, I quickly checked to ensure that no one else was around before making my way into the dressing room.

To my surprise, the dressing room was expansive, filled with an abundance of clothes, accessories, and more. His collection of watches, belts, ties, and suits were meticulously organized, each item having its designated place.

I was taken aback by the sheer amount of luxury clothing and accessories it contained. Among them, I noticed my own clothes, alongside jewelry, makeup, and various other items. I couldn't believe my eyes at the extravagance laid out before me.

I carefully selected a simple saree from the collection, knowing that even though it was understated, it still exuded elegance and quality. Adorning myself with a set of bangles and my favorite jhumkas, I left my hair cascading down my back. Once I was ready, I opened the door, only to find Siddharth standing before me, grinning mischievously in a beautiful red kurta paired with white pants.

"Same same, huh?" he remarked with a sly smile, gesturing to my saree, which was also red.

"Ummm, yes, I guess," I replied nervously, still thinking about our earlier exchange.

As I walked out of the dressing room, Siddharth followed behind me. Making my way towards the mirror, I reached for a small box of vermilion, intending to apply it. However, Siddharth swiftly took it from my hand, leaving me puzzled.

"What happened?" I asked, my confusion evident in my voice.

With a smile, Siddharth took a pinch of vermilion and looked at me tenderly.

"Ab toh meri hee ho,"ย  he said softly, applying the vermilion between the partition of my hair.

"Now,You are mine,"

A rush of warmth filled my heart as his words resonated with a deep sense of belonging and commitment.

"So, let's go now?" he said, extending his hand towards me. With a smile, I took his hand, feeling a sense of warmth and reassurance in his touch.Together, we descended the stairs, where everyone was eagerly waiting for us, ready to begin the day's activities.

"Here you both are," a lady said with a smile, taking my hand and leading me to the living room, with Siddharth following behind us.

I remained unfamiliar with his family members, including the lady who led me to the living room.

Soon, Siddharth's mother returned with a gold-like bowl filled with milk and rose petals, indicating that it was part of a ritual. We both sat beside each other, and as part of the ritual, we placed our rings in the milk.

(A/N: Again idk about this ritual properly but if you find any mistakes please do correct me in the comments ๐Ÿฅฒ)

As the game commenced, we both immersed our hands in the milk bowl, searching for the rings. Soon, I felt something and instinctively grabbed it, realizing it was a ring. With a swift motion, I retrieved it from the milk, becoming the first one to find it. The room erupted in cheers and applause as I proudly displayed the ring.

"Now our daughter has the upper hand in this marriage," Siddharth's father remarked, eliciting a smile from me. The warmth and acceptance from his family filled me with a sense of joy and belonging.

I glanced at Siddharth, curiosity and a hint of concern evident in my expression. "Aren't you disappointed that I'm the one to take the upper hand in the marriage?" I asked tentatively.

He chuckled softly before responding, "No, of course not. In fact, I wanted you to win. And you did. I'm so proud of you," he said, his words filled with sincerity and pride, leaving me speechless and overwhelmed with emotion.

Siddharth's mother suggested with a smile, "Why don't you both go somewhere together?"

Siddharth looked at me with a smile, his eyes filled with warmth. "Toh bataiye kaha Jana chahti h aap?,"ย  he asked, eager to hear my choice.

"So tell me, where do you want to go?"

"Mandir chale?" I suggested with a smile, feeling a sense of peace and serenity at the thought of visiting a place of worship together.

"Let's go to a temple?"

Siddharth smiled and nodded, "Sure, sure, we can go," he agreed readily. However, his mother's remark caught him off guard.

"You agreed immediately? I'm surprised. I mean, you never go to any temple, nor do you believe in God," she commented, directing her gaze towards Siddharth.

"Mom, why do you have to bring this matter up?" Siddharth responded, annoyance evident in his tone.

"Why not? You never agreed before, and now you did? I'm surprised that you listen to Natasha so much," she remarked with a chuckle, prompting Siddharth to roll his eyes in response.

As his cousins approached us with a mischievous smirk, one of them held up a camera, indicating they had something to show me. Siddharth's annoyance grew, and he hastily attempted to lead me away.

"We have to leave now, we don't have much time," he insisted, grabbing my hand. However, one of his cousins intercepted, holding onto my hand to prevent him from taking me away.

"Bhabhi, we have to show you something. Won't you let us show you?" they pleaded, looking at me with hopeful eyes. Feeling torn, I glanced at Siddharth for guidance.

"Let's see what they have to show," I suggested, hoping to indulge them.

"But it's not important," Siddharth interjected, his annoyance evident, though his tone remained gentle.

"Still, please?" I appealed, and he sighed in resignation.

"Okay, fine," he relented, releasing my hand reluctantly.

As Rohit and Ayush introduced themselves, I smiled warmly, feeling welcomed by their friendly gestures.

"Bhabhi, we have something to show you here," Rohit said, producing his camera.

I focused my attention on the screen and was surprised to see Siddharth's mehndi. He had seemingly requested to have my name written on his chest. Unable to contain my amusement, I couldn't help but giggle at the sight. Glancing up at Siddharth, I noticed him blushing and quickly looking away, which only made me smile even more.

As the video ended, Rohit began to speak, revealing Siddharth's playful request to have my name written on his chest. His revelation prompted another round of laughter from me.

"Are you both done? Now we have to go," Siddharth interjected, grabbing my hand again as I stood up.

"Bhaiya, please listen. Can you drop me and Rohit at our friend's house?" Ayush requested, rising to his feet.

"What? No, we'll be late," Siddharth replied coldly.

"Please, bhaiya, it's on the way to the temple, so I don't think it will be a problem," Rohit pleaded, hoping for his brother's assistance.

"Beta, please give them a lift to their friend's house. They have to complete a college assignment," Siddharth's aunt intervened, urging him to help.

"Only because you're saying," Siddharth relented with a sigh, glancing at his aunt, who smiled in gratitude.

As we all settled into the car, Siddharth took the driver's seat while I sat in the passenger seat. Rohit and Ayush occupied the backseat, engaging in conversation amongst themselves.

The atmosphere inside the car remained quiet, with only the occasional chatter from Rohit and Ayush breaking the silence. Siddharth focused on the road ahead, his concentration unwavering as he navigated through the streets towards our destination.

"Can I play music in your car?" I asked Siddharth, but before he could answer, Ayush interrupted him.

"Of course, bhabhi, you can. This whole car is yours, our mansion is yours, even the man driving the car is yours," he said, as they both started laughing.
